always distrusted and cloaked in shadow, the nightrays have altered the most since the Reset. with the house restored to what it once was, internal strife is ripe among the house. civil suspicion is high. since the Reset, the nightrays have not been the most unified of the houses.

the only of the four great households to be led by a woman, the rainsworths have always been known as the most stable and gentle of the four households. they may be seen as weak, but rainsworth women are never to be underestimated even if they are elegant and poised.

the barmas have always been secretive, and even within the four households nothing much is known about them besides the fact that they dabble in study of magic and the abyss as much, if not more than, the nightrays.

located not far from the noble estates, the central marketplace is a source of food and essentials as well as a source of gossip. it is almost always crowded, and one must always watch for pickpockets and thieves.

the most prestigious boarding school in reveille. almost all the noble families send their children here to be educated. the school also houses one of the largest libraries in the land, though it is only accessible to the noble families and esteemed guests.

the further one goes from the center of the city, the dirtier and poorer reveille becomes. the outer circles of the city are rampant with crime. very few go here, as those who do not know their way around rarely return.

run by the nightray family, the house of fianna takes care of orphans whose parents were killed in incidents relating to the abyss. though the place has become a more normal orphanage since the Reset, shady practices involving the children continue to happen under the radar.

in the center of sablier, the remnants of the Tragedy remain in the form of a gaping crater leading to the abyss. the deeper one goes, the more one risks never coming back out. the hole traps people in memories and disorients them. venturing too deep runs the risk of falling prey to these illusions and to chains.

the lair of the cheshire cat is a realm of the abyss all of its own, manipulated by the cat alone. appearances and objects in this realm are entirely up to the cat's whim.
