some basic rules.
001. this site is literate-advanced. that means proper grammar and sentences that make sense. maybe a well-developed vocabulary and sentence fluency? those are good traits, too. oh, and sentence variation would be nice. just make sure it's understandable, yeah? nothing else is really all that important. of course, quality over quantity, but if you have good posts that are long too, hey, no one's complaining.
002. under no circumstances are ooc racism and sexism allowed, as well as powerplaying, godmodeling, mary-sues, gary-stus, flaming, one-liners, or any other type of behavior that is generally frowned upon to be practiced upon our site. you get one chance, and one chance only. upon your second offense, you will be scolded. If you do something really crazy, we'll just smack an ip ban on you and leave it at that.
003. stealing isn't tolerated in any way, shape, or form. art is my least favorite kind of thievery. someone else put effort and thought into whatever it is being stolen, and then someone comes along and just rips it off. art thievery includes drawings, graphics, writing, and any form of creative expression. when using art on a profile, please credit the artist UNLESS YOU DREW IT. if they have specified anywhere that they do NOT want their art used or wish to have permission before one does so, please respect their wishes.
004. since there aren't any one-liners, it's assumed that you'll attempt a couple paragraphs each post. we don't mean to be harsh, but this is a literate-advanced site, guys.
005. the audition password, which is actually a phrase, is secret, so you have to find it. it's italicized to help you out, and it somewhere on this page. also, tell me which rule is the most important one to join. it says so when you see it, i promise.
006. this site will probably contain spoilers. we take place in a post-storyline plot, but there will be events and character details used that are only revealed in later chapters. if you're not up to date with the manga scanlations, we hope you don't care. if you do, sorry. :\ you've been warned.
007. no arguments or immaturity will be tolerated on site. we're sorry if your OTP doesn't happen here - don't get all up in arms about it. if you have an argument with another member, either let it go or take it somewhere else where none of the rest of us have to get involved or see it. let disagreements be civil. if you can't let your differences go for the sake of love for the fandom as a whole, the staff reserves the right to ban members or ask them to leave.
some rules on limits (of which there are none, you'll find)
001. this site is mature in content. this means...
002. attacks do a realistic amount of damage. this should go without saying, but this means there will very probably be blood and gore. warning you in advance. also, if your character happens to get into a fight, please be sensible about skill level and the like. we're not going to do a 'you can only dodge x amount of times per battle' thing, but we're not going to tolerate godmodding either.
003. cussing is allowed. we're assuming you are okay with that. obviously, we don't recommend characters who cuss every other word, but hey. please take note of this and respond appropriately (aka: don't join if you aren't alright with it). again, we don't want to be rude, but we also don't want mothers coming on complaining how we ruined their little angels' innocent minds.
004. now the one everyone's been wondering about. romance-wise, everything is allowed. all sexual orientations, everything. feel free to be all fluffy with your characters if they have someone they're dating / bedding. however, because of proboards' restrictions, you must take graphic material (anything over PG-13) over private email or messenger. you may not roleplay it out over PM. please keep r18 material off-site!
some rules on characters and roleplay
001. as it stands, we DO have a limit on characters. you are only allowed to have two characters maximum, and only one of them can be a canon. that means you are allowed one canon, one OC, or one of each, but no more than that. (exceptions can be made for this, but only under certain circumstances - please see the canon claim page for details.) this restriction is in place because we really want each character to be QUALITY. we want you to explore every nuance of your character and really develop them.
002. this site works as one account per character, not one account per member. please audition for the character as a guest BEFORE registering an account (this goes for OCs too). only if your audition passes can you make an account. the account should reflect everything about the character - enter their birthday as the account birthday, etc. in the cbox though, of course, you are allowed to use whatever name you wish.
003. all information in the character template must be included in the audition. also, we request you keep the template exactly as it is. i know it's tempting to style it differently, but i've had some awkward encounters with that where the bios are hard to read, so just use the template we provide for efficiency's sake, thanks.
004. characters have no limit on creative expression. of course, for a canon, stick to what's been revealed for them officially in the manga, but beyond that you may include headcanons however you want as long as they don't contrast with what's official. for OCs, seriously, go crazy. they can be ANYONE. a member of a household, a member of pyrrha (we're going to need those, so those are especially welcome), a servant, even just a random citizen of reveille or a foreigner! you can even make your character a sentient chain like cheshire, but please be reasonable with that and don't godmod.
005. this roleplay allows liquid time, but only up to 3 active threads per character. please use your discretion though and don't take on more threads per character than you can handle. any thread not replied to in a week will be considered inactive and locked.
007. this is often overlooked in a roleplay, but feel free to have tons of drama. have love triangles, inter-family or inter-generation feuds! c'mon, canons were brought back from the dead! that's gonna spawn all sorts of problems - rivalries, hatred, whatever. this IS the most important rule out of all of them. a roleplay just isn't fun without drama. C:
008. only one bio can be in the works at a time. that means if you post WIPs on the character auditions board, there can only be one at a time. you must finish a character before making your second one. after you've completed a bio you're free to start on another. also, we realize the bio template is long, but this is an active site and there are potentially other people out there who want your canon. therefore, canon bios must be finished in a week or else you will not be able to have that canon.
some rules on punishments.
001. punishment is left up to the staff. if you think the punishment is too severe for the offense, feel free to plead your case. present it reasonably - whining will not be tolerated.
002. if you've been banned in any way, please don't try and join under another name, on another computer, with another email address, whatever. we'll find out, and we will frown.
003. there are member sweeps that take place here because each member and their character(s) are important. members who are absent (meaning they haven't logged into the site, because if you just post in the cbox, the staff might not see that) for two weeks (14 days) without notice will have their characters removed and accounts deleted. we're very strict about this policy - if you're gone, at least take a minute to tell us sometime during those two weeks. we apologize, but it's to ensure that all characters are being played actively, because there are likely other people out there who want your canon.
